1. Limassol Marina
The newest jewel in Limassol’s crown is the luxury marina which opened in 2014. 2. Limassol Castle
This medieval castle is famous for hosting the marriage of Richard Lionheart to Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England back in 1191. Located near the old harbour in the heart of the historical centre of the city it was used as a prison by the British from 1790-1940 and it now serves as a museum. Guests can explore the imposing dungeons and view a range of exhibits, which reflect the historical evolution of modern Cyprus.
3. Wine Festival
For all the wine connoisseurs, the Cypriot wine festival offers no better place to sample the unique and delectable Cypriot wines. The annual Cypriot Wine Festival has been running since 1961 and takes place at the end of summer. It offers wines from around the world and some of the best local wines, along with a rich nightly entertainment programme.
4. Fasouri Watermania
A Trip Advisor Travellers Choice award winning attraction, Fasouri Watermania is the biggest Waterpark in Cyprus both in size and number of attractions. An ideal place during Limassol holidays for families, friends and children, the Waterpark has an impressive array of water slides, swimming pools, facilities and services. The park has 30 slides and attractions plus seven shaded venues for resting, dining, and enjoying a drink.
5. Limassol Carnival Festival
View Cyprus at its most vibrant during the annual carnival celebrations which usually take place in February or March each year. The modern Limassol Carnival is celebrated by tourists and residents of all ages, it is flamboyant, colourful with the biggest parades, non-stop parties and an exciting atmosphere.
