Weddings in Skiathos FAQs

Getting married in Skiathos is an affordable way to tie the knot, owing to its large selection of wedding venues. Packages start from well under £1000 for budget options, however the sheer beauty of the waterfront setting means that you won’t need too much else. More elaborate Skiathos wedding packages can cost a little more, but this will depend on your location and number of guests attending.

Skiathos is a beautiful Greek island, famous for its golden sandy beaches, whitewashed towns set on rocky outcrops and buzzing nightlife scene. If you’re looking for a little peace and quiet, you can find it in many of Skiathos’ hidden beaches and coves. However, should you want to party until the early hours, you’re well catered for here as well!

The town of Skiathos itself is where the main nightlife can be found, so it is a popular wedding destination for younger parties. Quieter towns including Achladias, Kanapitsa and Kolios are a little off the beaten track and are where the island’s famed pine tree-backed beaches and crystal clear waters can be found.

If you’re not Greek or a resident of Skiathos then there are a few legal documents and applications needed to marry there. If you have a wedding planner, simply provide them with your legal documents including passports and birth certificates and they will acquire a Null Osta for both parties stating they are free to marry. They will also ensure the documents are translated into Greek and arrange for a registry of your marriage a few days before your ceremony.
