Check out our fantastic range of wedding venues below - if you find yourself spoilt for choice, then give us a call and we'll be able to advise on the best route to take for your Greek wedding!

Where should I get married in Greece?

The first thing to do when starting the wedding planning process is to choose the perfect location for you and your spouse. The good news is that we have a huge range of Greek destination wedding locations, so there should be something suitable for everyone, no matter which geographical region you want to visit.

Whether you're wanting a private beach wedding, a civil ceremony, religious ceremonies or a civil partnership in a picturesque church, we have just the thing for you!

Ruminate in the ruins of Rhodes

Rhodes is an ancient city with a huge historical and cultural background, meaning it's a must-visit destination for those that are into their history! The city is perfect for those wanting to spend their honeymoon here, as well as their Greek destination wedding, as there is plenty to see and do in Rhodes for a couple in love.

One of the more popular venues in this area of Greece is the Christian Orthodox St Sofia Kalithea chapel, which is nestled in the upper grounds of The Esperos Village hotel in Faliraki.

This gorgeous Greek Orthodox church is perfect if you’re interested in a traditional religious wedding, but the fun doesn't stop there! The surroundings of this stunning church include the hot spa based at the Kallithea Springs, as well as the beautiful natural scenery on the outskirts of Kallithea village.

Splash out on a wedding on the gorgeous Greek Island of Santorini

Santorini is a popular place for tourists to visit, featuring a selection of sumptuous sandy beaches, right next to the light blue Mediterranean sea. This beautiful island is the stereotype of what a Greek island looks like - and for good reason, as it makes for a wonderful setting for your wedding ceremony.

For something a little different from the norm, why not head down to Santo Winery and get married at this luxurious vineyard?! It's located on the edge of the Caldera cliff in Pyrgos village, making this hidden gem a unique romantic destination for your wedding. Unforgettable 360 views of the island of Santorini can be seen from the Santo Winery, which also crafts the famous Assyrtiko white wine.

Check out the bustling nightlife in Zante

The popular island of Zante is known for its nightlife, with many younger tourists visiting each year to take part as a rite of passage. However, there's much more to Zante than drinking and dancing, although those are two things you might want to incorporate into your wedding party!

The island was once known as the 'flower of the orient', showing just how beautiful a setting it is, complete with amazing sunset views if you choose to have your beautiful wedding a little later in the day.

For breathtaking views, The Balcony is an elegant venue laid on top of a dreamy hilltop destination, hidden away on the rustic outskirts of Tsilivi. Those wanting a wedding location with a touch of sophistication will be well at home here, with this reception venue boasting a pristine and elegant setting upon a stunning hilltop in Zante.

This venue is suitable for larger weddings and more intimate elopement weddings, whatever takes your fancy!

Hold your wedding on the popular island of Crete

Crete is the largest island in Greece, which means it's one of the more common geographical regions for people to visit, for honeymoons and weddings alike! This Greek island has got everything you could ever want from the nation, from beautiful beaches to rugged hills, all the way through to traditional cobbled streets, making it a great place to visit for a longer wedding party.

The Stella Island Luxury Resort is a common venue for weddings and for good reason! It's a fantastic resort containing every amenity you could ever want for your special day!

This resort contains an adults-only five-star hotel with a luxurious choice of 2 Christian Orthodox chapels, as well as a selection of fantastic eateries to choose from for your wedding breakfast. If you're looking for a little more luxury in your life, then this should be your venue of choice!

Get married in the cultural hub of Kos

Kos is another popular island to hold a wedding, having a fantastic cultural heritage due to its Ottoman, Greek and Italian heritage. This makes it a great place to hold your honeymoon too, particularly if you're into your history and culture. Kos oozes culture and has some stunning locales, as quaint rustic villages intermingle with huge mountains and breathtaking views of the ocean.

The Kos Imperial Thalasso Hotel is a popular choice to hold civil ceremonies, as it's considered to be something of a water paradise, due to its immense lagoons and six swimming pools, providing fun for all the family!

As well as its pools, this five-star hotel boasts a luxurious choice of 7 restaurants to choose from and a selection of other attractions (such as the water sports centre), so you'll want to spend a few days here to ensure you see everything!

Get your dancing shoes on for a night of fun in Corfu

Corfu is another popular destination for tourists, but it's also a fantastic destination wedding location for religious weddings, civil weddings and intimate elopement weddings. It's slowly becoming the island of choice for people wanting to get married in Greece, and for good reason, as the architecture and beautiful landscapes on offer give the island a unique vibe.

The Eva Palace hotel is based on the private Kommeno Peninsula, which has a tropical atmosphere, for those who want a change of pace for their Greek destination wedding. The hotel has an idyllic location and offers:

  • Several pools
  • A water sports area
  • Specialty dining
  • Plenty of entertainment

All in all, giving you the full package for your dream wedding. You can also hire a romantic villa that has its own private pool, using this villa as your own personal honeymoon suite!

Have a serene wedding experience in Halkidiki

If you're wanting an intimate elopement wedding or a more peaceful experience, then Halkidiki is the perfect Greek destination wedding location for you! The region is famed for its pine forests, making for a slightly different (yet no less beautiful) place to hold your wedding party. Beach weddings can also be held at Halkidiki, giving couples a great deal of choice at this ideal destination.

The Sani Resort is a fantastic place for those wanting a larger wedding, as it features a luxurious hotel, as well as the Sani Beach Club, Porto Sani Village and the Sani Asterias Suites, making for one amazing reception venue! This resort boasts a whopping 19 restaurants and a grand total of 16 bars/lounges to use, making it the ideal choice for a civil wedding in Halkidiki, also featuring lots of ceremony venues. There are several children's clubs on-site, so if your wedding party contains children, you don't need to worry about keeping them occupied.

Visit the beautiful island of Skiathos

Skiathos truly has something for everyone, whether you're looking for beautiful sandy beaches, incredible nightlife or a side of culture - it's got it all! It's particularly known for its buzzing nightlife, so the happy couple might want to also consider spending their honeymoon in Skiathos, as it's something that really has to be seen to be believed! If you're not one for clubbing, there's still plenty to see and do in the area.

If you want a more rustic setting for your Greek destination wedding, then the Olive Thea restaurant is a romantic spot based in a beautiful location that will be perfect for your wedding party. It's surrounded by olive trees and has a charming atmosphere full of natural beauty, preferable for a smaller wedding size.

There are five terraces to choose from for your wedding reception - you can choose to have the ceremony here, but other nearby ceremony venues include the beach below the restaurant and several excellent venues in Skiathos Town itself.

Tie the knot in the capital of Athens

Athens is possibly the most famous area in Greece, being the capital city of the nation. As such, it's a popular choice for those wanting a Greek destination wedding, suitable whatever the size of your wedding party. It's a cultural hotspot too, so this is another area perfect to hold your honeymoon, due to the wealth of tourist attractions on offer.

The stunning Grand Resort Lagonissi is a premier hotel based in Athens, located just 45 minutes away from the central hub of the city itself. This seafront paradise contains an amazing 72 acres, containing a huge variety of accommodation options, restaurants and amenities, so you can really hold your Greek destination wedding in style. Greece Weddings FAQs

Depending on which destination you choose, your party size and the scope of the package involved, your dream Greek wedding could be a reality for as little as £776. You’d be hard pushed to find a Greek wedding destination that is anything less than spectacularly beautiful, however certain flagship spots such as Santorini or Halkidiki do tend to cost a little more.

Large parts of Crete are unspoilt and off the beaten track, making it a popular destination for couples looking for something simple. The striking beauty of Santorini cannot be overstated, whereas for the calmness and serenity of a pine forest that ends at the sea, Halkidiki is popular for that all-important zen. A wedding in Athens does offer the proximity to a major city, meaning plenty of culture and sightseeing opportunities during your stay.

Just like any marriage, cost is a primary consideration when it comes to choosing the location of your wedding in Greece. Many of the Greek islands here offer broadly the same variety of packages, with picturesque ceremonies taking place either on the beach or on a terrace offering sweeping sea views. Consider also if you’d like to be near a large city (i.e.: Athens), for a spot of sightseeing after the big day, or if you want to get away from it all and relax on a secluded beach or out on a boat at sea.

You’ll need a full birth certificate for both bride and groom, certificate of no impediment to marriage or marriage license, divorce / adoption / change of name certificates if applicable and passports. If you’re looking to have an Orthodox wedding, both parties will need to be baptized as Orthodox.
