Bellagio is a wonderful town on Lake Como with its quaint shops, elegant hotels and promenade. It has the most romantic atmosphere and saying ‘Yes, I do’ in Bellagio is the perfect start to your married life.

Civil marriages can be celebrated in the Council chamber next to the town hall of Bellagio or in the small garden located at the entrance of the building (weather-permitting). Weddings take place Monday to Saturday

Worth a visit are the smart shops and the very interesting village church. A short walk uphill and you come to Gardone sopra.

Legalities

To be able to marry in Italy you will need to be resident for 4 days. You will require your full birth certificate and passport as well as other legal documentation depending on your previous marital status. All information is for guidance purposes and based on british passport holders, couples need to obtain and research there required documentation
