The Villa Bologna is located in the village of Attard in the centre of Malta and makes for the perfect wedding destination. Attard is traditionally famous for its citrus orchards and gardens, not to mention its grand stately homes, to which there are many. Walking the streets gives you a feel of grandness even though Attard still has a small enchanting feel. Be sure to visit the seventeenth-century Wignacourt Aqueduct, which was originally 15, 635m long and ran from the higher grounds near Mdina to Valletta to supply water.
Several archaeological remains are still in the area, some dating back to 3,000 years BC, with some of the oldest buildings being the chapels still standing today that date back to the early 17-century. The San Anton Palace is another must-see building, built somewhere between 1623 and 1636, this magnificent building used to be the home of the Grand Master Antoine de Paule; now, it is the Maltese President's official home. The gardens of the San Anton Palace are also spectacular and full of colour with thousands of species of plants. This charming village also has some fabulous cafes, bars and restaurants where you can sample the local delicacies; it's the perfect location for a wedding in Malta.
