RAVELLO CHURCH – THE DUOMO (Cathedral)

Situated in the main ‘piazza’ of Ravello, the Duomo is the spiritual and social centre of Ravello. Dating back to the 11^th century, it’s a gorgeous combination of Baroque and Romanesque styles.

A wedding in this very holy and important Cathedral is very very important and special.

On your wedding day you will enter through the bronze door and inside the Duomo you will be astounded by the pulpit supported by six spiralled columns sitting atop marble lions. There are two gorgeous mosaics of Johan and the Whale.

After your wedding, you can exit into the delightful piazza of the village of Ravello, and enjoy congratulations from your family and friends and locals too who love to see a wedding.

There are two or three smaller churches where Catholic wedding ceremonies can take place, just ask us for information.

As long as you have all the required documentation the process is fairly straight forward.

Legalities

To be able to marry in Italy you will need to be resident for 4 days. You will require your full birth certificate and passport as well as other legal documentation depending on your previous marital status. All information is for guidance purposes and based on british passport holders, couples need to obtain and research there required documentation
