Italy is a popular destination for weddings; suffused with romance and blessed with beautiful weather, welcoming locals and charming towns, it is the perfect place to say ‘I do’. Ravello, high in the hills on the Amalfi coast in southern Italy is a particularly popular wedding destination. This small, gorgeous mediaeval town overlooks a stunning stretch of coastline, and offers history and intrigue, as well as incredible views.
Set high above the glistening waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Ravello has long been seen as a place of enchantment and excitement, with artists, authors and composers such as Joan Miró, DH Lawrence and Richard Wagner all finding respite and inspiration in the town.
Ravello’s town hall is the ideal place to hold a civil ceremony. Dating back to the 12th century, it offers a charming garden, which is meticulously tended, full of brightly-coloured flowers and features a vine-wreathed pergola. While the garden is a popular spot for wedding ceremonies, the hall itself is delightful; filled with antiques, it provides an atmospheric setting in which to exchange vows.
There is also a terrace just a short distance from the town hall that offers jaw-dropping views of the coast where smaller ceremonies can take place. We can also help with floral arrangements, and entertainment such as a violinist, guitarist or small band, that will make your big day extra special, and there are several excellent hotels within a few minutes walk of the town hall.
